Changing
opinions & perceptions
Moving trees is necessary but not sufficient enough to save
them alone. There are only so many customers out there or places these trees
can go to. Prevention is better than cure.
The Olive Tree Project has spent much time and energy
publicising its work and achievements through the local and
international media, for no other reason
than to influence public opinion and to get more supporters on board.
If you would like to support our efforts but live
abroad, please make a donation so we can move unwanted trees to the Sanctuary.

This tree we moved during 2006, is now living in the
central park in Kyrenia, after being displaced by to nearby road
expansion. Tourists pose for photos in front of the of the tree totally
unaware that it was ever moved!
